Hunt for Europe's 'first pyramid'

Archaeologists at the site
The first pyramid to be discovered in Europe could be unearthed by archaeologists in Bosnia.

They think an ancient structure might be hidden underneath a hill overlooking the town of Visoko.

So far, they have discovered a tunnel, which they think might be the start of a network of underground passages. They think the hill was definitely man-made.

The work on the 2,2120ft hill will continue for six months, with the first results expected in the next few weeks.

Local people have been fascinated by the hill for many years.

The area is rich with history - Visoko was the capital of Bosnia in the Middle Ages.

Some local people are very excited by the investigation and have started selling pyramid souvenirs to tourists.
